Tega Cay Kids Fishing Tournament

The Tega Cay Anglers Club (TCAC) is planning their first Tega Cay Kids Fishing Tournament on June 20th at Windjammer Park and we are very excited to share this information with all of you!

Since this is the first time we are sponsoring this type of event, we are limiting registration to the friends and family of Club Members and Non-Members who have come to our meetings and shown an interest in our club. We are limiting the event to no more than 25 children.

Who: Children up to age 12 who will fish with a responsible Parent, Guardian or Adult
What: The Tournament will consist of a 1 to 1 1/2 hour time limit fishing for bluegill with prizes being awarded by age group, fish size and quantity of fish caught. There will be TCAC members on site to help with registration, baiting hooks and fishing technique, and handing out drinks and snacks. Our club promotes catch and release.
Where: Windjammer Park, Tega Cay.
When: Saturday, June 20th from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm. Additional details will be provided at a later date.
How: This event is being sponsored by the TCAC and our goal is keep the registration fee as low as possible but no more than $15 per child. We are working on obtaining local sponsorships and/or donations to hopefully reduce this amount. Each registered child will receive a fishing pole, tackle and other goodies. In addition, all children and adults will be provided with a snack and drink. We are also working on possibly offering a hot dog lunch.
Why: The TCAC has an interest in promoting the fun and satisfaction of fishing to fellow anglers both young and old. While many of our events cater to adults, we want to provide opportunities for children to learn and be excited about the sport of fishing.

At this time we are asking each of you to respond to tegacayanglers@yahoo.com with your interest in this event and include the number and age of children who would participate. Please send this out to your friends and family as well and let them know about this event. As mentioned above, we are limiting this event to no more than 25 children and will accommodate on a first come first served basis. As we get a sense for participation levels, we will send out additional information including registration forms, registration costs and all the specifics.

Our main goal is to make this a fun and fulfilling event for our future "Bass Masters" so please help us in making it a success. We look forward to hearing from you!
